At Ekinsa, we have been working for over 40 years in the manufacturing of pressure washing systems and barrel treatment.
Continuously evolving to achieve the highest quality, we have positioned ourselves as number 1 worldwide in automatic cleaning systems for barrels at all levels.
One of the strong points of our systems is our washing pipes and multidirectional rotary heads EK22 5th generation, designed to carefully clean all types of barrels.
All our equipment is manufactured with this system, built from 316 stainless steel and available in different dimensions to fit any type of barrel and wooden tank.
Manufactured uniformly to facilitate entry through the barrel’s opening, these heads allow for much more efficient, sustainable, and economical cleaning than using any other system.
Components of our multidirectional rotary head EK22 5th generation:
• Rounded or conical head.
• Hollow shaft for the circulation of steam and high-pressure water.
• Rotating head shaped with a conical seat for rotation.
• Conical gear shaped for the high-pressure output shaft rotation.
• High-pressure output shaft with housing for O-rings for high pressure and temperature, along with nylon washers for rotation.
The cleaning process carried out with our multidirectional heads consists of:
1 – Light rinsing of the barrel with cold/hot water to clean the internal wood pigmentation.
2 – Hot water cleaning (85º) at high pressure, steam cleaning of the inside of the barrel.
3 – Finally, rinsing the barrel with ozone dissolved in water, taking advantage of the fact that the pore of the stave is completely open due to the high temperature reached and ready to receive the microbubbles of ozonated water, completing the optimal washing and sanitizing cycle without damaging the barrel or affecting its quality, restoring tannins and aromas and the contact of the wood with the wine.
